household work leads to complaints from the one who does more. The one who does less doesn’t understand the other’s hard work. It is common for a couple/partners to share household work in modern family life. Usually, one person does more, and the other does less. There is no perfect equal. But what is important is how the person who does less housework cannot appreciate another’s contributions to their family. However, through the research I found that communication is not always easy. Based on my research, I designed an APP, Better, that helps people in the same family to contribute to the household work. This APP uses data visualization and personalized reminders to help couples or families who are unwilling to discuss the distribution of household chores to communicate better. Family members or partners can empathize and understand each other’s contributions. The ultimate goal is to bring the family closer. residents Contextual research, 2019 1. Project OverviewThrough this project, I looked into the transportation systems in urban cities experiencing population growth to uncover whether they have effective systems or whether they need new innovative systems. The research analyzed whether these cities have an effective plan or a plan that could be revised with innovative strategies. The research also details specific positive or negative impacts the transportation systems have in these cities, from communicating to residents and local department of transportation leaders to reading about transportation history. Through research and interviews, I have discovered a growing social problem called sharenting, which carries the connotation that parents are spending too much time showing the world how happy and fulfilled their children are rather than conducting actual parenting. The term also suggests that parents are oversharing. Nothing online is completely private, and everything is permanent. Parents sharing posts of their children have little awareness about their children’s privacy online, which may cause potential risks for kids. Parents should think about the rights of their kids before sharing anything about their kids. Ultimately, it’s not the parents’ information; it belongs to the children. In this project, the aim is to design a possible solution contextualized in the target audiences’ real-life scenario, so that they could be more proactive in receiving the idea. I used the playground as inspiration to design two display boards that interact visually with the play equipment and a webpage to allow the parents access to more information. GoalsIn the age of social media, help young parents to understand and raise awareness of “Sharenting” to better protect children’s online privacy and respect their rights. language to discuss how these works of literature and artworks from different people are interlinked. This book includes text, images, texture, graphics, structure, typography, layout, prototyping, and production, with the visual language contextualized in the content. By assembling the information I gathered from my research of time, I decided to create a book of time to express my interpretation of time. According to the concept of “the present moment,” this book requires a certain sense of order, but at the same time has flexibility. I figured out the book’s final presentation is “two books that can be read simultaneously.” This book has two sections that are bound together on an extended cover. The challenge is that the two parts needed to be a finished book separately. Simultaneously, when they are read together, the two sections need to be integrated as a whole. Goals Develop a unique voice to communicate a message effectively; explore how typography and editorial strategies inform a narrative that is appropriate to the context. Expressively design a book that the audience can relate to emotionally. TypefaceGaramond, Sabon. Neue Haas Unica. Color PaletteBlack and white as the primary. Alternative colors are inspired by corresponding content and apply to that page.
